Corona virus vs Social Distance and Pakistani nation
according to the world meter website as we speak, almost 4,806,292 Cases and 316,754 deaths have occurred.
In Pakistan, on this day there are 42,125 cases and 903 deaths, but when you go to markets, malls, and shopping centers you see sea of people there without makes and social distance. Pakistan govt have been of the opinion that people should take responsibility and follow the guidelines provided by them, but they are listening.
When we talk about COVID-19, we think about social distance.but, is it possible at a larger scale? The answer of this question is certainly, "No". we are mean humans are social animals and we can't live without our society. since the beginning of life on this earth humans have lived in a community and have survived.
In this modern age, when things have gone too much individual this social distance can happen but not for too long. the reason is that at the end of the day we will have to share each other's joys and sorrows. this COVID_19 has changed this world as a whole.
When we go to shopping malls, markets, and anywhere like these places, social distance cant be done no matter how hard we try. same is the case with travelling which is very common in Europe where people travel within and outside of country frequently this cant be done.
This might take us to adopt new habits, customs, and social norms which might the need of the hour, but how long we can continue? This needs to be answered. in Pakistan, I have seen people taking absolutely no care of social distance and going to malls, markets, and shops for shopping in bulk. husbands with their wives, kids have no idea how dangerous their adventure can be for them.
Why Pakistani people are so brave in no following the guidelines provided by the govt to keep a social distance? the answer is that we the Pakistani people are much strong mentally that we don't care about these things, but I fear the worst might come because of our overconfidence which might ruin the poor of our country.
I hope we as a nation will show some responsibility to this problem for our better future and nations to come. Eid is coming and I can understand the happiness of the Pakistani people because we are used to celebrating this Religious festival with great religious devotion but this time it will be different. I am sure the past days will come when we will join hands with each other and share the joys of our lives.
